Simply upload a clear photo of your boat, and we’ll create a hand-drawn digital illustration based on your photos. You’ll receive a proof within 2–3 business days for approval before we print it on any apparel.

Buoy 71 specializes in custom boat artwork created by real artists from your actual boat photos, designed to look great when worn and printed. Every drawing includes both a full-color illustration and a clean line-art version, so you can use your artwork across different products and backgrounds without needing additional edits.

On products that offer personalization, you’ll be guided through simple prompts directly on the product page. Just follow the steps and enter your details as requested — we’ll use that information to complete your design.

Once your custom artwork has been created, you can order as many shirts as you’d like! Just select your shirt style and enter your boat name or order number at checkout so we can match your existing artwork.

For custom boat drawings – Yes! You receive the digital file so you can use it however you like.

Yes! Simply navigate to the Custom Boat Drawing page to upload photos and choose your options. We will send you a high resolution vector file when completed.

You can! Doing so, will give you the fastest turnaround time as your production order will be moving up in the queue while your art is created and finalized. No printing will occur until you approve the proof.

Watch your email for a link to view your proof.

If you are satisfied, simply click "approve". 

If you would like to see changes, simply decline the proof and write your
requested revisions, and your order will go back in the queue.

You have unlimited revisions, so we will continue the process until you are satisfied with the artwork.

Once you approve the artwork, we will email you high resolution vector files of your art as .AI, .PNG, and .JPG files

If you purchased additional products, approving your artwork will send them into production. 

Yes, it’s true! We want to make sure you get exactly what you had in mind.  We can go back and forth with the design until you love it. 

Please allow 2-4 weeks for delivery on all custom products.

Since we begin processing orders quickly, changes or cancellations may not always be possible. Please contact us as soon as possible, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request.

Since all of our products are custom-made to order, we do not accept returns unless the item arrives damaged or incorrect. Please double-check your design before approving it!

If you receive a damaged or incorrect item, please contact us within 7 days of receiving it with photos, and we’ll make it right.

Yes! Many of our UPF50+ shirts are made from recycled plastic bottles, offering sustainable sun protection while helping reduce ocean waste.

For best results, wash your shirts in cold water, tumble dry low, and avoid bleach or fabric softeners to maintain the print quality and sun protection properties.
